Truck Collision Causes Pedestrian Bridge Collapse in Lagos, Injuring Three

Following a collision involving a trailer with registration ABG-111-XF carrying a 40Ft container, the Alapere pedestrian bridge in Lagos collapsed, resulting in injuries to three individuals.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency reported that the victims were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital.

The impact also crushed a 14-passenger Mazda commercial bus (registration KJA-752-YD), but fortunately, no fatalities were recorded.

Collaborative efforts by LASEMA, LASTMA, and the Nigeria Police Force successfully cleared the debris, restoring normalcy to the road.

Acting LASTMA General Manager Bakare Oki urged road users to prioritize patience during the festive season for the safety of all.
