A yet-to-be-identified man sustained injuries in a truck collision at Apapa area, Lagos State, around 5 pm on Sunday.
The accident involved two trucks that collided, resulting in severe damage to both vehicles, as seen in a video posted on the official Lagos State Traffic Management Authority’s X handle.
According to Adebayo Taofiq, the agency’s Public Relations Officer, the collision occurred when a truck with the registration number T382-LA lost control due to overspeeding and crashed into another moving truck.
LASTMA personnel promptly intervened, rescuing the injured driver, who suffered a serious injury to his left leg.
The injured driver was swiftly taken to Apapa General Hospital for treatment with the assistance of police from Area B Police Command in Apapa.
Following the incident, LASTMA arranged for a towing vehicle to clear the damaged truck from the road.
