Professor Rita Cyril Ndifon from UNICAL’s Department of Curriculum Studies advised married couples to remain steadfast and love their spouses despite tribulations.
During a thanksgiving mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Akim Navy Barracks in Calabar on Sunday, Professor Ndifon shared this advice, coinciding with her 28th wedding anniversary.
To young women, she encouraged them to be steadfast and firm during challenging times in marriage. Regardless of life’s storms, love your husbands.
While storms may not be present in the early part of marriage, they may arise later on. What makes a marriage unbreakable is standing firm, loving each other, and moving forward.
Reflecting on her elevation to the rank of Professor, the University Don expressed excitement and fulfillment, stating, I feel very happy today.
For aspiring female Professors, Mrs. Ndifon recommended hard work and reliance on God, emphasizing that following the established criteria paves the way to achieving the goal.
Addressing how she excelled academically despite family challenges, she said, With God, everything is possible; He has been my source of strength. I never allowed challenges to weigh me down. If I focused on the challenges, I wouldn’t be here today celebrating.
