Nigerian talent Victor Boniface has secured a position among Europe’s leading assist providers in the top five leagues.
Transferring to Bayer Leverkusen for €20m from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the last window, Boniface has swiftly become an integral part of the team, contributing significantly to Die Werkself’s impressive start in the 2023/24 Bundesliga season, where they currently lead after 15 matches.
The 22-year-old striker boasts 16 goal contributions (nine goals and seven assists) in 22 league appearances, establishing himself as a key player in Europe.
In the Bundesliga, only Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich has more assists than Boniface, with eight compared to Boniface’s seven.
Noteworthy players like Simons, Salah, Trippier, Brandt, Aubameyang, Beste, and Neto share the second spot with Boniface. Saka, Watkins, and Thuram follow closely with six assists each, trailing Sane by two.
As the top assist providers unfold, the race intensifies, with notable names like Kane, Fuhrich, Rico, and Kroos accumulating five assists. Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku and West Ham United’s James Ward-Prowse have entered the list with four goals created in the last month.
The departure of Lionel Messi from Paris Saint-Germain to Inter Miami in the MLS adds an intriguing twist to the race for the title of the top assist provider in the top five leagues, marking a wide-open competition.
